Test Results…

  • Lenae Reversible Modular Sectional: I had my original Article couch for almost eight years (and it survived a multi-state move). It’s the first piece that immediately had me obsessed with the brand. While I still highly recommend the Sven, I was looking for a replacement that was a little larger and plusher. The Lenae is a modular sectional that you can add pieces to depending on your needs. While I was worried about getting a cream couch, it’s made of a performance fabric that wipes down easily. I found that compared to the Sven, it did require more of a break-in period, but now that I’ve lived with it, it’s definitely feeling more comfortable and worn in. Article tests its fabrics for abrasion resistance with up to 50,000 rubs (yes, it’s true), and I can confirm that these tests are legit. After multiple sits, naps, and guests sleeping on this couch, it still looks brand new. If there’s one thing to invest in from this review, it’s one of the couches. ($1949

  • Makali Lily White Lounge Chair: I got two of these chairs for my balcony in Atlanta and was skeptical because the woven design seems like it would be scratchy and uncomfortable. I was wrong, as Article’s cushiony comfort came through once again. The design is unique; something about them feels calming. Assembly was as easy as plopping them onto my balcony. The downside? They feel a touch overpriced, but the quality matches the $449 price tag. ($449)

  • Noora Outdoor Side Table: I was intrigued by this side table for its teardrop shape. It’s spacious, wipes clean, and most importantly, perfectly nestles into awkward balcony corners. While this is a part of the brand’s outdoor line, I think it’d also work in a living room because of how heavy and substantial it is. ($199)

  • Mika Indoor/Outdoor Pouf: I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the functionality of this pouf. It’s super soft and cushioned, making it ideal for propping your feet up. The fabric is woven and textured, which is great for hiding dirt stains and providing extra durability. ($159)

Test Results…

  • Sven Tufted Loveseat: I’ve officially had this couch over a year and can honestly say it still looks amazing, despite being put through multiple challenges. Over the past year, this couch has been sat on, slept on, and spent days getting beat on by natural light. It even endured a Sunday Night Football queso spill, and countless other clumsy moments. Despite this, the velvet has held up as promised (pro tip: buy Dawn Powerwash) and still brightens up the space. In addition to withstanding harsh conditions, it is incredibly comfortable to sit on. I’ve had multiple visitors prefer sleeping on it to an air mattress. ($1299)

  • Deca Desk: This compact desk is made out of a sturdy oak. The drawers have a quiet close feature, so even if you try to slam them, they’ll still close slowly. This is the type of detail that I would expect for this price. I love the design of this desk; It’s spacious enough for my laptop, desk accessories, planner, and a small table lamp on it without it feeling cluttered. I also appreciate how well it easily fits into a smaller apartment. While I don’t have a second monitor, you could easily fit one. Plus, it has a cutout in the back, so you can hide any wires, which keeps everything looking very clean. ($599)

  • Bea Office Chair: This desk chair is just as design-forward as it is supportive. I love that it isn’t too soft or too stiff. I did already have a minor spill on it, but a little Dawn dish soap worked to remove the stain without damaging the fabric. It’s also wide enough that I can sit criss-cross (which is a huge pro for me). The wheels and general rotation are smooth, and the armrest is perfect for my 5’3” frame. I think anyone taller might find this chair generally too low though. ($399)

Sidenotes…

  • TLDR, our editors adore this brand for its middle-tier pricing and high-quality items. Every single product they tested was comfortable, stylish, easy to assemble, and long-lasting. Both editors noted the quality aligning with the pricing.

  • Both Margo and Abby note that while Article says to dry-clean the couch cushions, they (along with the pouf and chair cushions) only need a little soap and water to clean.

  • You can pick from regular delivery, in-room delivery, and in-room and assembly delivery for larger items. For larger items, Article’s delivery team will pre-schedule delivery. Each delivery service varies in price, but standard small items have a $19 delivery fee. Margo and Abby have both used the white glove service from Article and rave about it because of how timely everything arrives, plus all packaging is disposed of for you.
