of interactive installations features complimentary beverages, holiday postcards, and more
November 17, 2023 (New York, NY) – theSkimm, a mission-driven digital media company, announced its first-ever Winter Wanderland, an IRL series of interactive installations that nod at the seasonal fun and cheer visitors can only experience at Manhattan’s most iconic shopping destination, Brookfield Place. Winter Wanderland was ideated and executed by theSkimm’s SKM Lab, its in-house creative agency that launched in March 2023 as an evolution of its longtime branded content work for advertising clients.

Launching November 24, theSkimm will offer a one-of-a-kind interactive experience for Brookfield Place shoppers as we invite them to explore four festive photo moments positioned throughout the magical Winter Garden at Brookfield Place. Installations include a life-size holiday gift box with a throne of stacked gifts, an extravagant open-air snow globe, and an iconic LED-illuminated snowflake tunnel. Visitors are also invited to stop by theSkimm’s holiday cocoa & greeting card bar where they can enjoy free delicious hot cocoa, courtesy of Brookfield Place’s vendors Devon & Blakey and Mah Ze Dahr, and grab a Skimm-original holiday card to accompany their newly purchased gifts from the shops at Brookfield Place. This is available for a limited time from December 11 to 17 from 4-6 PM.
